said it before, for my money 6/9/76, the sequence of st stephen->eyes->let it grow->drums->let it grow is one of the finest 40 or so minutes of music ever made

i am also a big fan of roosevelt stadium 8/4/76, day on the green-10/9/76...the tower run in june is good too

I have a sweet spot for 76, as I saw my first show then ( 10/14 - at the Shrine ).
The shows, can have that supper mellow feel, especially the June ones . I really enjoy the sound of the band, in this period, Garcia has such a beautiful tone .And all the usual comments about, interesting sets lists apply . It has always been a "pet" period for me .

yep, I second 6-9-76. My favorite from that year.Replaced my previous 6-19-76 favorite.

10-1-76 is a real good audience recording and has a real out there slipknot
